  4. media is now making itself clear to a lot of other 
  5. people, coming at it from a lot of different angles. 
  6. Also, his writing, as you know, tends to be very 
  7. oracular and prophetic and filled with metaphor; 
  8. and allows many interpretations; it‚Äôs not a rigid 
  9. setting forth of doctrine, it is more a starting of 
  10. the rabbits of speculation. So it‚Äôs possible to take 
  11. McLuhan‚Äôs writing and develop it in a lot of 
  12. different directions. I mean it provides seeds for 
  13. stands of theory that sprout. Also a lot of what he 
  14. said is now much more obvious; we have fibre-
